About Kohnur

From the early age of six, Tokiko destined herself to become a makeup artist. Raised in Japan, she experimented with makeup and hairstyles all throughout her teens, then immediately enrolled in a local beauty college after finishing high school. After completing her program, she trained again at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, CA and has been providing freelance makeup and hair services for six years. Tokiko’s versatile and forward-thinking styles speak for her more naturally reserved disposition, as she passionately expresses herself through makeup and hair design. Each face structure or eye bone is a palette for her to communicate her thoughts. Because Tokiko did her own makeup and hair at her wedding, she understands the stresses that come with the process and uses this experience to relate to her clients. Tokiko remains honest and open about her opinions and believes in collaboration: together with her clients, she always finds a way to each bride look and feel beautiful.

I am: sweet
My work is: thoughtful
I draw my inspiration from: Beauty, nature, friends, random strangers, media, celebrities….the possibilities are endless!
In my makeup bag I must always have: Labello Lip Balm and waterproof eyeliner pencil (currently Solone gel eyeliner from Asia).
The top three things on my bucket list are:
1. Travel;
2. Travel;
3. Travel. I definitely want to explore Asia and Europe one of these days when I have the time AND the money (those two never seem to go hand in hand…).

I am: versatile
My work is: flawless
I draw my inspiration from: Art and different cultures around the world. Art has always held a special place in my heart. It is timeless, and an expression of our human creative nature. As a little girl, I used to draw faces and pay special attention to the eyes and facial features. Enhancing your best features and making the eyes sparkle is my trade so to speak. And hair? Well, if you have great makeup you have to have fabulous hair too. That’s my philosophy!
In my makeup bag I must always have: concealer, blush, brow pencil, and mascara. With these four items I can get away with a nice, clean, natural everyday look.
The top three things on my bucket list are:
1. Visit Asia;
2. Machu Picchu in Peru;
3. And Egypt.

One-of-a-kind beauty with the touch of

love.
