From the early age of six, Tokiko destined herself to become a makeup artist. Raised in Japan, she experimented with makeup and hairstyles all throughout her teens, then immediately enrolled in a local beauty college after finishing high school. After completing her program, she trained again at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, CA and has been providing freelance makeup and hair services for six years. Tokiko’s versatile and forward-thinking styles speak for her more naturally reserved disposition, as she passionately expresses herself through makeup and hair design. Each face structure or eye bone is a palette for her to communicate her thoughts. Because Tokiko did her own makeup and hair at her wedding, she understands the stresses that come with the process and uses this experience to relate to her clients. Tokiko remains honest and open about her opinions and believes in collaboration: together with her clients, she always finds a way to each bride look and feel beautiful.

I draw my inspiration from: Anything and everything that catches my eye. I love people watching, flipping through magazines, watching TV, browsing Pinterest and Instagram. Seeing the different trends and styles that people identify with inspires my work.
